Woolworths Benalla
MRC Constructions delivered the Woolworths Benalla Refurbishment and Direct to Boot project in a live retail environment for our client Woolworths Group.
The project forms part of Woolworths’ continual store refurbishment program, modernising both the shopping experience and the store’s operational efficiency.
The refurbishment scope included extensive upgrades across all major building services – mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire – ensuring improved safety, energy efficiency, and long-term performance.
In addition, we built a brand-new Direct to Boot facility so customers can collect online orders quickly and safely. This upgrade has improved customer convenience and traffic flow across the site.
Inside the store, MRC renewed the fresh produce and deli areas with new finishes, custom joinery, and updated shopfitting. We also refreshed key departments with a cleaner, more open layout.
To keep the store trading throughout construction, works were staged carefully and completed through a coordinated day and night shift roster. This approach reduced disruption while keeping the site safe and efficient.
As a result, MRC Constructions delivered another high-quality outcome for Woolworths Group and our valued subcontractors. The Woolworths Benalla Refurbishment demonstrates our experience managing complex live retail projects across Victoria.
