Woolworths Templestowe

MRC Constructions delivered the Woolworths Templestowe Refurbishment and Extension, completed safely in a live retail environment for Woolworths Group.

The project modernised an established supermarket, improving both functionality and presentation for customers and staff.

The scope included full upgrades to major building services – mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire – to lift efficiency and meet current standards. Our team also installed new refrigeration systems that provide better performance and visibility across fresh departments.

As part of the external works, MRC constructed a new Direct to Boot facility, allowing customers to collect online orders more efficiently. We also built a new trolley-park structure along the shopfront, improving access and safety for shoppers.

Inside the store, the refurbishment involved new finishes, custom joinery, and complete shopfitting across the trading floor. Departments such as produce, bakery, and deli were fully renewed with upgraded fixtures and contemporary design elements.

In addition to maintaining the stores ability to trade throughout construction, MRC delivered the works under  a coordinated day-and-night shift program. This approach reduced disruption and ensured safe operations for customers and store teams.

As a result, MRC Constructions achieved another high-quality outcome for Woolworths Group, strengthening our long-standing partnership.
