MRC Constructions delivered structural upgrades at Woolworths Wonthaggi as part of the Woolworths Wonthaggi eCom Upgrade. The works included a new Direct to Boot canopy and a precast loading dock structure to support the store’s logistics and eCommerce growth.

The Direct to Boot component involved in-ground footings, structural steel installation, and electrical and civil works. As a result, the facility now provides customers with a convenient, drive-through collection point for online orders.

The loading dock upgrade introduced a complex challenge. The new precast structure was constructed above a live high-voltage underground cable. Through careful planning and coordination with specialist subcontractors and local authorities, MRC maintained safety, service continuity, and a strict delivery schedule.

Additionally, MRC worked closely with Woolworths’ project managers, consultants, and trades to meet program milestones and maintain construction standards. This collaboration allowed the team to complete the project safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to operations.
